What is Metallic Luster paper?
Metallic Luster paper is a unique inkjet paper that closely matches the look of photo lab metallic prints. Metallic Luster paper features the same characteristics as a classic Luster finish paper but has a pearlescent base stock that yields a gorgeous iridescence in your images.
How to frame a metallic Luster print:
Due to the exceptional detail and color that Metallic Luster paper yields, it is best to frame prints without glass. The glass can actually take away from the details and colors that the metallic finish provides by creating a glare.
One of the best things about a Metallic Luster print is that it does very well in a well lit spot and even with direct lighting on it. The light helps allow all the details to pop.
Why Metallic Luster instead of Metallic Gloss Paper?
Metallic Luster does not show fingerprints or smudges as easily as Metallic Gloss paper. If you are hanging the print where people may touch it and leave smudges and finger prints, Metallic Luster paper is your best choice. The luster coating adds a layer of protection.
What to expect when ordering a Metallic Luster Print?
Your Metallic Luster print will be printed on a warm tone, low OBA Metallic Luster photo paper.
You will receive your print rolled safely and carefully in a protective cardboard tube or stay flat mailer, depending on size.
All prints come with a 1/2” white border around the image to allow for handling and framing.

There are three standard sizes for Metallic Luster prints:
