What is a Giclée on Paper Print?
A giclée print is a fine watercolor print with an extra strength Ultra-Violet coating. A giclée provides unsurpassed depth of color offering some of the most archival inks and substrates available. The result is a museum quality reproduction of the original painting.
The Giclée, translated from the French as “a spraying of ink,” is produced by an ink jet printing process in conjunction with computerized imaging and fine art printmaking techniques. The final piece has a higher resolution than a traditional lithographic print and the color range is wider than a serigraph.
What to expect when ordering a Giclée on Paper print?
Your Giclée on Paper print will be printed on our 100% cotton rag, semi-smooth, hot press inkjet paper. You will receive your Giclée on Paper print in a protected “stay flat” mailer or protective cardboard tube, depending on the size of the paper. The image printed on the paper will remain it’s original shape and will be printed to fit the paper with a 1 inch border to allow for framing.
What size will the print be?
There are three standard sizes for Giclée on Paper prints:
Small: 12” x 18” $95
Medium: 20” x 24” $185
Large: 30” x 40” $399
Due to the configurations of Emy’s paintings the sizes will be approximate to the measurements of the canvas. You can expect your print to maintain the same shape as the original painting. The print will simply fit within the boundaries of your purchased paper size.
All Giclée on Paper prints come with a 1” white border. If you would like to request a different style/size border, contact me.
